sister of a graduate

[color=#8040FF]My younger brother went to Teen Challenge 3 decades ago. Because of Teen Challenge he is alive today...and living a happy productive life...so am I.

When he went to Cape Giraudoux, MO, it was on the order of a judge in AZ, where he had been busted. He was a 'test'. If he did well, they would send other young men there...if he failed, that judge would never send anyone again. Long story, short; he lived there for a year, graduated and succeeded.

But that isn't why I'm writing this testimony. I'm not here to give my brother's testimony. I'm here to give mine.

My brother started sending me tracts in the mail about Jesus. I was worried. My brother was becoming a 'Jesus freak'. Then in one letter (please understand that my brother is not an openly emotional person...keeps everything inside, which is why this was amazing) he wrote, "I hope you don't mind me sending you all these tracts...it's just that I've found some answers here...and I love you...and really hope through these tracts, you find the joy that I have found."

I still have the letter.

A few months after that letter...I was in a very low place myself; not because of drugs...but it was so low that no one could find me...I had a tall glass of water in one hand and a handful of valium in the other. Jesus entered in...

I won't go into detail, but my little girls did not wake up the next morning to a dead mommy, because Jesus saved my life, because my brother loved me...and wrote a letter to me...and that letter happened because of Teen Challenge.

I am now a writer for a website that mininsters to women. Thank you Teen Challenge. I owe you .... see you at the Banquet!

His,
Desert Rose

Sister of a graduate,

I am so blessed to hear your testimony.
Praise the Lord that your brother witnessed to you and you were able to receive it.
God has a perfect plan for your life and your children's life.
They are blessed to have you now as a child of God.
I pray that the your whole family will see and receive the Love of Christ!!!
True Freedom
