Please prayer for Derek. He is struggling with alcohol. He is not able to get rid of this on his own. He had tried desperately many times to be free from it. Last night he had a man hold a shotgun to his head threatening to kill him. He tells me he was not drinking till after the ordeal. However there are things he is unaware of. Such as, what happened to make police come and arrested his 2 companions. Despite the fact he was in hand cuffs for 1.5 hours and then release, he either has no clue what transpired, or he is not telling all. I thank God above all things that transpired, that my son was kept safe with his life. He says, he was not drinking prior to the incident, but admits drinking after it. Regardless, he was a mess emotionally when I saw him. I love him and do not know how to get through to him nor do I know what all is the truth at this point. God knows. I pray God move on his heart and mind to enter TC and get him with ones who understand the struggles, knowing that God alone can and will help him kick this thing so he can live an abundant life for where God has a purpose for Derek.
Meanwhile, Derek is so upset with his dad since he believes he does not care or is a terrible father. His dad does really love him. His dad has been where Derek is. He knows from his own experience and knows only God heard his cry and helped him. But his father does not convey love as Derek would like it or feels he needs it to be. Please pray God bless and restore this relationship to as God had originally intended it to be. Thank you in praying in agreement as the word of the Lord says.
