Our son Adam is dealing with alcohol and OTC med addiction. He just left a Christian 30 day inpatient program and is living in a sober living home in Delray Beach, FL. The treatment center painted this rosey picture that he would have this great aftercare to include helping him find a job so he can pay for transitional/sober living facilities. Well, one week out of treatment and they haven't even called him. He is getting very little help with finding a job and his rent is only paid for this week. He really needs to complete at least 90 days of aftercare as we are told the aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself. Dear God, I pray you will provide his every need. He needs to stay in an environment where he will be accountable. Coming home is not the answer as it's now where he wants to be right now. And, we can't afford to put him back into inpatient. We had to borrow money to pay for this round. Plus, being at home is the place where so much of his problems occurred. Please pray for him. And if anyone has any suggestions, please help. Coming back to Ohio is not a good option right now.
